A total of 17 million hybrid and electric cars could be on the road by 2020, a new study by Juniper Research suggests. In a similar report last year, the company forecasted only 12m vehicles. One reason for the increase is the ongoing and committed roll-out of charging infrastructure that make EVs more suitable for daily use.
