A total of 565,668 PEVs were sold worldwide in 2015, according to the Argonne National Laboratory. That is an 80 percent increase compared to 2014. Although sales in the U.S. are declining, sales in China more than doubled, surpassing all other countries in the total number of plug-ins sold.
