Bernhard-Maier“Hybrids are something we are discussing for all of our product line-up.”

Skoda CEO Bernhard Maier says that while the company does not have a hybrid yet, it is likely the next model will share the VW Tiguan GTE’s drivetrain.

Victor-Muller“I’m all with Tesla and the full-electric approach, but I still don’t think lithium ion batteries are cost-effective. This type of battery has one major disadvantage that will not go away: degradation.”

Spyker CEO Victor Muller voices concerns, but did not give an alternative to Li-ion batteries. The manufacturer is allegedly thinking about an all-electric SUV.

Terence-Bryce-Johnsson“In the next ten years from now, the electric vehicle industry will have to be over 20 percent of our business.”

Terence Bryce Johnsson, head of overseas sales at Audi is looking into an electric future as he believes that “the acceleration of the investment to battery electric will be much faster than it has been in the past.”
