Electric patrol: 44 electric cars have joined the police force in Saxonia and not all of them are of German built. The fleet consists of 15 Renault Zoe, 24 Mercedes B-series ED, and 5 Renault Kangoo ZE vans. They will serve in the federal states’ five largest cities like Dresden and Leipzig and shall get one charging station each. The first has gone up in Dresden already with another 43 to follow by September. The EVs make for an 1.6 percent electric share in the Saxonian police fleet.
