Tesla CEO Elon Musk sees the carmaker’s takeover of SolarCity as an opportunity to set up a more holistic company. The merger had apparently been under discussion for years.

Trevor Milton, CEO and founder of Nikola Motor Company, says the manufacturer plans to do the truck industry what Tesla did to cars. Some 7,000 chargeable pre-orders for the Nikola One have already been placed, even though the truck has never been shown in real life.

Guy McAree, Director of Investor Relations at Ballard Power Systems, is certain that falling prices, growing efficiency and longer lifespans will help customers choose fuel cells over other alternatives.
