Italdesign CEO Joerg Astalosch says, the start-up is looking to loosen its ties with Volkswagen, seeking electric vehicle partnerships with other companies. He added that he would probably not wait to be approached by the likes of Apple and Google.

Laura MacCleery, vice president of consumer policy and mobilization for Consumer Reports gives her two cents about the Autopilot crash discussion. But whether changing the systems name will keep the drivers’ hands on the wheel is debatable.

Dale-Vince“The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is not designed to be used on electric power for long journeys. It’s designed for running around town on its very small electric battery, filling up at home or at your destination over a period of several hours.”

According to Ecotricity CEO Dale Vince, the pricing model at rapid-chargers along motorways in the UK is the result of Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV drivers “misusing” the network. Earlier it was said that plug-in hybrids blogged chargers, but the CPO seemed to have a more particular offender in mind.
