Plug-in sales in the U.S.

Exactly 157,181 electric and plug-in hybrid cars were sold in the U.S. this past year, marking a 37.6 percent increase compared to 2015. The Tesla Model S was the most popular car (with plug) for the second year in a row. Since 2008, a total of 570,187 plug-in models have been sold in the States.
