Exactly 17,586 electric cars were registered in the EU in the last quarter of 2016, ACEA reports. It is a decrease of 11.4 percent compared to the same time in 2015 and plug-in hybrids too sold less (- 18.6%). Only pure hybrids found more favour than a year ago. 76,930 hybrids is a 25.1% plus.
