Pawan Goenka, Stefano Domenicali.
“I am counting on this year being the year of electrics.”
As do we, since years, one is tempted to answer Mahindra Managing Director Pawan Goenka. He is talking about India of course, and with the government pondering to buy 100,000 EV and being 100% electric by 2030, Goenka might be right.
“I believe the right time for us to consider electrification is when – and only when – we can retain the same super sports car characteristics that we have today. Weight and center of gravity, for example. Today, I don’t see that possible in the next 10 years.”
Lamborghini CEO Stefano Domenicali continues his opposition to purely electric models. The sports carmaker has however looked into hybrids and Domenicali named the second variant of the Urus SUV to become Lamborghini’s first hybrid.
