A total of 85,983 PEV roamed the Isles at the end of 2016. Sales soared from 2,254 electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles in 2015. Only UK charging infrastructure has not kept up. 11,736 charge points at 4,243 locations result in a ratio of roughly 1 charger per 8 cars. Back in 2015, they stood almost one to one.
