Electric double-decker trial: London is about to see the first all-electric Metrodecker. Maker Optare is now ready to try the electric bus on Go-Ahead’s Route 36 across the British capital, starting this summer. The electric trial follows successful testing of the same model but with a diesel engine.
Great Britain to get H2 chargers: Four sites, namely in Birmingham, Swindon and two in Sheffield, will be equipped with hydrogen refueling from ITM Power. Additional locations have been earmarked in London and around the M25, along the M1, M40, and M4 but have yet to get permission.
Slovenia to add chargers: 140 additional EV charging stations shall be installed in 69 municipalities of the Eastern European country. They will be part of Slovenia’s existing infrastructure and are co-financed through the Eco Fund.
Dubai is to add charging stations too as the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) wants to double its electric vehicles charging stations to 200 across Dubai. It will thus complete the second phase of the Green Charger initiative.
Park&Charge in Taipei: Taiwan’s capital has 20 public parking facilities equipped with electric car charging posts. Each location features two charging points, so 40 EVs in total may charge in Taipei. They have been installed through the city’s parking authority.
