In the States, 215,100 jobs are linked to EV and HEV production. According to the DOE, 174,600 are attributable to manufacturer and 40,500 to supplier jobs. All in all, 11% of the 2.3 million jobs supported by the motor vehicles and component parts industry were related to alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicles.
