Predicts Volkswagen’s R&D chief Ulrich Eichhorn and thus calls for 40 Gigafactories before 2025. His estimate is based on the firm’s target that a quarter of its group volume will come from the sale of electric vehicles by then.

Solberg-Thorsen“There have never been so many electric cars in a single month in Norway before. For the first time, the electric cars have a market share that is higher than both diesel and petrol cars.”

Solberg Thorsen, CEO of Norwegian interest group Opplysningsrådet for Veitrafikken (OFV) rejoices over a 107 percent increase of EV sales year on year this June. Overall PEV share was reportedly at 42.2% in Norway.
