LA buses to go all-electric: The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority has decided to successively shift the more than 2.200 buses to electric models by 2030. In the first step, 95 E-buses and the charging infrastructure are being procured. 60 of these E-buses will come from BYD and 35 will be supplied by New Flyer.

VW has got the go ahead from CARB to realise the first of four investment plans for eMobility in California following diesel gate. The first 200 million dollars will be used to further the charging network in California, as well as a variety of other e-mobility projects.

Diesel cab scrappage scheme: London’s’ Mayor Sadiq Khan started a 42-million-pound investment to get rid of old diesel taxis. The decommissioning of at least 10-year-old Black Cabs with a diesel motor will receive a subvention of up to 5,000 pounds.

French-Welsh H2 connection: Welsh hydrogen car manufacturer Riversimple has chosen French McPhy to deliver hydrogen infrastructure and thus is the firm’s first customer in the UK. McPhy will supply Riversimple with a McFilling refueling solution to conduct a full-scale trial of an initial series of 20 Rasa cars.

Hybrid bus order: China Yuchai has delivered 76 hybrid buses to Siweimei Motor Transport in Shenzhen. This is the second large order from Siweimei since its purchase of 110 units in 2016.
