Wolfgang Schäfer, Elon Musk

Wolfgang-Schaefer“A new generation of combustion engines will again be developed but after that (around 2023), a further development will no longer be economically justifiable because more and more work will switch into electric mobility.”

According to Continental’s CFO Wolfgang Schäfer, the next generation of combustion engines could be the last. He assumes that by approximately 2023, German carmakers will stop their efforts to develop new combustion vehicles.

Elon-Musk-Twitter“What people should absolutely have zero concern about, and I mean 0, is that Tesla will achieve a 10,000 unit production week by the end of next year.”

In extraordinary clear words, Tesla CEO Elon Musk repeats his prediction of a rapidly rising production curve – for once not through Twitter, but during a conference call with financial analysts following the release of Tesla’s second quarter report (see article above)
