Mercedes-AMG prepares to develop performance versions of upcoming Mercedes’ EVs. Drummond Jacoy, Mercedes-AMG director of vehicle development, is aware that in order to do so, his Daimler subsidiary has to reinvent itself, “because the sound of a V8 is not going to be there if it’s a pure-electric vehicle. (…) we’re going to have to look at what the AMG story is with an electric vehicle.”
