Retrofitted Fiat classic has e-drive and manual transmission
Among the increasing number of retrofitted vehicles with electric motors, this classic Fiat model is especially eye-catching and comes in two price classes.
This convertible Fiat 124 is not only electric but has the unusual feature of a manual transmission. The twin-motor drive unit can be driven as a standard manual with clutch and 200 HP or 149 kW.
The driving range of this specifically developed model for Roadster Salon by Electric GT even beats Fiat’s own electric model, the 500e, with a top speed of 130 mph (209 km/h) and a range that supposedly exceeds 87 miles (140 km).
The reconditioned Fiat 124 Spider EV comes in two price classes. The top class goes for a whopping $139,995 (126,000 euros), but Roadster Salon offers a slightly less expensive version called Spider America EV Junior with a base price of $89,995 (81,000 euros). The more expensive version, as you would hope, includes a “luxurious, artisan-crafted interior” with hand-stitched leather and burled walnut accents, no less.
