Dyson pays back EV development grant

The vacuum manufacturer decided to foray into electrified vehicle development only fairly recently, but Dyson has already repaid the UK government 7,8 million pounds it had received in 2016 as part of its plans to produce electric cars in Wiltshire, England.

The decision to manufacture in England has been reversed, as Dyson decided to move EV manufacturing to Singapore and before the firm ended the electric car project entirely in autumn 2019 for economic reasons.
