Santo Domingo’s electric carriages roll out

The use of electric carriages began today in the Colonial City of Santo Domingo. Five of the planned fleet of eleven battery-electric carriages began ferrying tourists in the capital of the Dominican Republic.

The carriage horses get to enjoy an early retirement, while Evergo has been tasked with the construction of several charging stations in the city to help usher in the age of electrification on the Caribbean island.
