Vejen will have 84, Gladsaxe 54 and Vejle 40 AC charging points with 22 kW each. In Gladsaxe, an additional DC charging point with four connections and a total output of 400 kW is planned. The installation of all charging points is scheduled to take place in 2023.

The installation is to be carried out by Gilbarco Veeder-Root and Kemp & Lauritzen. The exact models to be installed have not been disclosed. PowerGo will take over the operation, and Spirii will provide the platform and charging app.

Although the columns listed are the first joint projects of PowerGo and Spirii in Denmark, they are not the first collaboration between the companies. As reported, PowerGo and Spirii want to install 15,000 charging points within the next two years in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Great Britain, France and Scandinavia, including more than 8,000 high-power chargers with 150 to 350 kilowatts.

Update 12 December 2022

After PowerGo and Spirii won the above tenders for the installation of charging stations in Denmark a month ago, they announced signing another contract. The Danish municipality of Ikast-Brande has contracted PowerGo and Spirii to install 69 AC stations with two charging points each in the coming year. In addition, there will be three 50 kW fast chargers with two connections each and four 150 kW charging points. All of these charging points will be public.

Specifically, the companies said they would install the 50-kW columns in a large, central car park, at the town hall and a school. The other four 150-kW fast charging points will be placed near the motorway ‘Herningmotorvejen. The AC chargers will be placed at several large municipal facilities and public car parks, PowerGo says. CTO Ivo van Dam added that they have the charging stations in stock and expect a quick rollout.
