Almost 100-year-old Rotterdam fuel station converts to charging park

A Shell filling station near Rotterdam Central Station that has existed since the 1930s has been converted into a charging park for electric cars. Shell has converted the former petrol station at Hofplein Square into a ‘Mobility Hub’ and installed twelve fast charging points there.

Electric car drivers can also enjoy snacks and drinks there during the charging time and use the WLAN on site. In the future, electric bikes, scooters and cars will also be available for rent at the Mobility Hub in Rotterdam. It is Shell’s first pure eMobility station in the Netherlands. More are to follow.
