Faraday Future appoints Matthias Aydt as Global Chief Executive Officer

Faraday Future has appointed long term FF executive Matthias Aydt, Global CEO of Faraday Future, effective September 29, 2023. Also effective September 29, 2023, current Global CEO Xuefeng Chen (XF) will resume his prior position as FF China CEO, based in China and will take a new role as FF’s EVP of Global Industrialization.

California-based Faraday Future (FF) has appointed Matthias Aydt as the new Global CEO, effective September 29, 2023. Concurrently, Xuefeng Chen will resume his role as FF China CEO and take on a new position as FF’s EVP of Global Industrialization. Aydt’s focus will be on enhancing FF 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance production and deliveries, while Chen will oversee the launch of the FF 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance in China and concentrate on strategic developments in both China and the United States, including business development plans and cost reductions.

Matthias Aydt brings over seven years of experience at FF, holding key roles in Product Execution and heading Product Definition, Mobility Ecosystems, and Business Development. Before joining FF, Aydt held significant positions at automotive companies and OEM suppliers, leading teams in Project Management and Vehicle Engineering. With a vast 40-year background in luxury OEMs, Aydt is well-versed in manufacturing, technology, and operations, having developed multinational organizations and various processes related to design, development, program management, and simultaneous engineering. Throughout his career, Aydt has garnered over 15 registered patents, showcasing his dedication to the company’s vision of a sustainable transportation future and its stakeholders.
