Zeekr 007 GT is coming in 2025
There were already rumours last year that Zeekr was working on an estate version of the 007. In January, things got concrete: Zeekr itself first published a few images of the 007 GT before the first technical data on the electric estate was then revealed via the registration application required in China.
In the document, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology describes the 007 GT as a “pure electric sedan.” However, the images clearly show it to be an estate – or a Shooting Brake, as the somewhat more dynamic offshoots are often referred to.
The dimensions of the 007 GT are comparable to those of the 007 saloon except for a few millimetres, but it is positioned around half a class below the Zeekr 001 Shooting Brake, which is also available. In fact, the GT is even one millimetre shorter and five millimetres flatter than the saloon. While such minor deviations can be explained quite simply with different bumpers and, in the case of the height, with different springs, it is very surprising that the wheelbase also differs slightly from the saloon: the 007 GT is 2,925 millimetres, the saloon 2,928 millimetres.

According to the registration with the ministry, Zeekr will offer the 007 GT in a total of four variants, which differ in terms of drive systems and equipment. There is a rear-wheel drive with 310 kW power and an all-wheel drive, which also has an electric motor with 165 kW peak power on the front axle. There are also two versions of the batteries—an NMC battery with cells from CATL and an LFP battery that utilises Zeekr’s Golden Battery. The energy content is not specified in the authorisation application. Although it is also not mentioned, the basis of the 007 is an 800-volt architecture.
Looking at the data for the saloon and the Zeekr 7X SUV, which is technically related, the 310 kW rear-wheel drive model will likely be offered with a 75 kWh LFP battery. The CATL battery with NMC cells has an energy content of 100 kWh in the 7X. It is available in the Long Range variant with RWD, and in the Performance trim with all-wheel drive. That will also likely be the case for the 007 GT, but has not yet been confirmed.
The CarNewsChina portal assumes that the 007 GT will be offered in China from 209,900 yuan, equivalent to around 27,900 euros. While the European launch of the Zeekr 7X has already been confirmed, this announcement has yet to be made for the 007 GT. As international countries such as Germany, the UK and Sweden are regarded as classic estate car markets, a European launch is also likely for the 007 GT.
The fact that Zeekr has even opted for a second Shooting Brake in its own portfolio, contrary to the trend away from estate cars towards SUV models, is probably also linked to the success of the Zeekr 001. Although it was Zeekr’s first-ever model series, and there are now more modern models from the manufacturer, the 001 was still Zeekr’s best-selling model in 2024.
