According to the manufacturer, the S2 Alpinista is a dynamic bike that combines road, sports and touring characteristics. When developing the powerful machine, the company focused on performance, functionality and customisation options.

The features of the new model include 17-inch wheels, which should not only have a positive effect on the riding characteristics but also reduce the seat height by 28 mm compared to the S2 Del Mar. The electric motorbike is intended to be suitable for everyday commuting as well as for fast rides on winding country roads. Four preset and two user-defined riding modes adapt factors such as the bike’s performance and response behaviour to the rider’s preferences.

As the name suggests, the S2 Alpinista, like the S2 Del Mar and the S2 Mulholland, is based on the S2 platform from LiveWire. LiveWire also plans to use this platform for an electric maxi-scooter with its investor Kymco in the near future.

In terms of performance, the LiveWire S2 Alpinista has the same high-tech features as the S2 Del Mar. With a weight of 197 kg, it accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in three seconds. It has an output of 63 kW and offers torque of 263 Nm. The motorbike is equipped with a 10.5 kWh battery pack, which allows for a range of up to 120 miles in the city or 70 miles on US highways. The AC charging time at a wall box charging station takes 78 minutes to charge from 20 to 80 per cent. The LiveWire S2 platform does not support DC fast charging.
