Audi announces U.S. specs and prices for the A6 and S6 e-tron
Audi has introduced its two newest e-tron variant models to the U.S. market, which is described as “the most aerodynamic and longest-range BEV within the Audi line-up.” Specifically, the rear-wheel drive Audi A6 Sportback e-tron can achieve an EPA-estimated 392 miles of range with the ‘ultra’ package. The 100 kWh battery can be charged with up to 270 kW, which allows for a charge from 10-80% in 21 minutes, in part also due to being built on an 800-volt technology platform.
Prices for the A6 e-tron start at 65,900 for the ‘Premium’ edition, which runs on a single-speed rear-wheel-drive and a 100 kWh battery. There is also the ‘Premium Plus’ and ‘Prestige’ editions, which cost $69,800, and $72,200, respectively. For the AWD variant, customers will pay either$67,900, $71,800, or $74,200 for the same model trims, so each costs exactly $2,000 more for the drive upgrade. The AWD A6 Sportback e-tron can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds and has a top speed of 130 mph, reaching an EPA-estimated range of 377 miles when equipped with the available ultra package.
For the 2025 S6 Sportback e-tron, which runs on a single-speed AWD, Audi is demanding $78,700 for the ‘Premium’ trim, with the prices for the other trims going up to $82,200 and $84,600. All models also have a $1,295 Destination & Delivery surcharge added on as well. The S6 Sportback e-tron can handle a range of up to 324 miles when equipped with 20-inch wheels and accelerates from zero to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of 149 mph.
The German automobile manufacturer had also launched two new variants of the A6 e-tron towards the end of last year, making an entry-level model available with a smaller battery and rear-wheel drive as well as a more affordable variant with all-wheel drive. After shutting down production in Brussels, as well as cutting 7,500 jobs in Germany, the new model offensive will be important for the future success of the company.
