Having unveiled the Xingyuan just six months ago, Geely is still working on the overseas versions, including the variant for Thailand and other right-hand-drive markets. The company is showcasing a left-hand-drive car at the 2025 Bangkok International Motor Show with Chinese branding inside-out.

Measuring 4,135 mm in length, 1,805 mm in width, and 1,570 mm in height and having a wheelbase of 2,650 mm, the Star Wish is a sub-compact EV. Geely has yet to disclose the specifications for Thailand, but in China, it gives customers a choice of two RWD variants.

In the base variant, Geely combines a 58 kW motor with a 30.12 kWh LFP battery pack that delivers a CLTC range of 310 km. In the top variant, the company uses an 85 kW motor and a 40.16 kWh LFP battery pack, which gives the car a longer CLTC range of 410 km. Customers can charge both battery packs from 30 to 80% SoC as quickly as 21 minutes.

Geely has yet to disclose the exact launch timeline of the Star Wish for Thailand. The company has appointed Thonburi Neustern, a subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz’s local contract manufacturer Thonburi Group, as its official importer and distributor. Thonburi Neustern plans to set up 17 Geely showrooms and service centres across Thailand by June and expand to 30 outlets by December.

In addition to Southeast Asian markets, Geely will likely offer the Star Wish in Europe. The company brought it to Europe just one week after the world debut in its home market and showcased it with the Chinese name and badging at Automechanika 2024 in Frankfurt, Germany.
