Leapmotor launches sales of the B10 in China
After presales for the Leapmotor B10 launched in China in early March, now the company has signalled the full release of the electric compact crossover. Within an hour of launching presales, Leapmotor had reported a total of 15,000 orders. Leapmotor apparently decided to drop the price since then, from an initial 109,800 yuan (14,940 USD), which was now dropped to the above-mentioned 99,800 yuan (13,580 USD).
The B10 runs on an 800-volt system, which features a range of up to 600 km. The entry-level variant runs on an electric drive with a peak power output of 132 kW, while more expensive trims can deliver up to 160 kW. Acceleration for the base variant from 0 to 100 kph takes about 9.3 seconds. The more expensive versions have a rear engine with a peak torque of 240 Nm and accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in 6.8 seconds.
A 56.2 kWh LFP battery suitable for 510 km (according to the Chinese CLTC standard) is available, but customers who want to reach the maximum range will have to shell out for the 67.1 kWh LFP pack. The smaller battery variant can be charged from 30 to 80% in 19 minutes. The larger pack charges from 30-80% in 20 minutes.
With dimensions of 4515/1885/1655 mm and a wheelbase of 2735 mm, the vehicle features a trunk space of 420 litres, which can be expanded by removing a lower layer and/or folding the second row of seats up to a potential maximum of 1,415 litres.

At launch, the Leapmotor B10 is available in five different trim levels, ranging from the ‘Leapmotor B10 510 Comfort’ at 99,800 yuan (13,580 USD), to the ‘Leapmotor B10 600 LiDAR,’ which costs 129,800 yuan (17,660 USD). The model appears to be aimed at competing with the BYD Atto 3, which costs between 115,800 – 147,800 yuan (15,750 – 20,100 USD).
