Vietnam: V-Green opens Hanoi’s largest fast-charging station
V-Green has established Hanoi’s largest new fast-charging station at the Minh Khai parking lot in Cau Dien street, Nam Tu Liem district. Strategically located at one of Hanoi’s key entry points, this facility should significantly improve accessibility for EV drivers travelling to and from the capital.
The new fast-charging station hosts 42 units of 120 kW DC chargers, each with two charging guns, allowing up to 84 EVs to charge simultaneously. All of them feature CCS 2 connectors, allowing customers owning all the VinFast EVs, including the VF 3, VF e34, VF 5, VF 6, VF 7, VF 8, and VF 9, to charge their EVs there.
According to an earlier announcement, VinFast planned to install 132 units of 120 kW DC chargers and five units of 60 kW DC chargers across Hanoi last month. V-Green indicated that most of these DC chargers, if not all, would have two charging guns and thus allow up to 262 users to charge their EVs at once.
By March 2025, V-Green had built a network of more than 150,000 charging points across Vietnam, CEO Nguyen Thanh Duong revealed in an interview with VnEconomy. By 2028, the company aims to expand the network to 500,000 charging points.
V-Green is operating even in overseas markets. In January, the company signed an MoU with Taiwanese EV charging solutions provider eTreego to develop 100,000 charging portals in Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines. In Indonesia specifically, the company plans to set up charging stations with approximately 63,000 charging points. According to a report from Autocar India, it is considering expanding its international presence to India, where Vinfast plans to launch its first EVs soon.
