Finn orders 5,000 vehicles from MG

The German car subscription provider Finn is expanding its partnership with MG Motor, which has been running since 2021. MG Motor will deliver a total of 5,000 additional vehicles to the mobility service provider in 2025, including electric cars.

Finn will then offer its customers “almost the entire MG Motor model range,” according to MG Motor Germany. This also includes electric cars such as the MG4 compact model and the new MGS5 EV e-SUV, as well as examples of the MG HS, MG ZS and MG3, which are available as petrol and hybrid models. However, the press release does not provide a specific breakdown by model or the number of electric cars. It is therefore unclear how many of the 5,000 MGs for Finn are actually purely electric.

Finn has had MG vehicles in its fleet since 2021, when it was still the first generation after the MG market launch in Germany. With the expansion of the cooperation, ‘the second generation of MG vehicles is increasingly moving into the selection’, according to the car manufacturer. This refers to the MGS5 EV, for example, which has only been on the market in Germany since early summer. ‘The most popular MG model of the past two years, the MG4 Electric, will also be represented with more vehicles,’ it continues. The MG4 is due for a model change; production has been underway in China for a few days now – the launch in Europe is only a matter of time.

“The collaboration with MG Motor is a model example of how contemporary partnerships in the mobility market should work,” said Paul Nobis, Senior Vice President Fleet at Finn. “Together, we have developed a scalable cooperation model that is being continuously expanded – now also with a view to remarketing. This enables us to respond flexibly to demand and further differentiate our offering.”

Oliver Rittierodt, Director Sales at MG Motor Germany, adds: “We are delighted to take our trusting collaboration with Finn to the next level and to offer customers even more MG vehicles in this way. The car subscription is a flexible alternative to the classic car purchase or leasing. Finn has attractive offers in this regard that are in high demand.”

At the beginning of the year, Finn secured up to one billion euros in debt capital for the expansion of its fleet via an ABS (asset-backed security) financing programme. Since then, the Munich-based car subscription provider has announced numerous large orders, including for electric cars: Finn secured thousands of EVs from Hyundai, signed a contract for 5,300 vehicles of various drive types with Stellantis in May and an electric car deal with BYD in June.
