Kia reveals UK pricing and specs for EV4 Fastback
It’s the brand’s first ever electric saloon and its first four-door EV, and will be available in two trims: the ‘GT-Line’ and the ‘GT-Line S’. Like the EV4 hatchback, it’s powered by a single front-mounted 150kW motor and is capable of 0-62mph in 7.9 seconds. It’s 300mm longer and 5mm longer than the standard EV4, with the difference in length coming from a 300mm rear overhang.
Both trims include Kia’s connected Navigation Cockpit display and a ChatGPT-powered voice-controlled Kia AI Assistant which is also found in existing EV3 models. GT-Line S models include ‘premium front relaxation seats’, which fold almost flat using an electric button, as well as a wide front sunroof, heated seats, Remote Parking Assist and a customisable HUD.
Both trims are available in Fusion White as standard or optional premium colours include Midnight Black, Magma Red, Yacht Blue, Shale Grey, and Moonlight Mint for £625.
On the charging side, both trims use Kia’s Electric-Global Modular Platform 400V technology to permit charging from 10-80% in 29 minutes from a 350kW DC fast charger or 5 hours 20 minutes on an 11kW AC charger.
While the GT-Line starts at £40,895, the GT-Line S starts at £45,395. That makes the standard trim around £3000 cheaper than the top-end EV4 GT-Line S which costs £43,895. Order books for both the Kia EV4 and the EV4 Fastback are now open, with deliveries set to commence this autumn.
