Geely subsidiary presents electric camper in China
Instead, there is a 5.02 metre long, 1.98 metre wide and 2.14 metre high electric van with a wheelbase of 3.10 metres. The key data is similar to the Farizon Super Van, a seven-seater van sold by Farizon as a passenger car. Only the height of the X-Van differs from the Super Van: The motorhome is slightly taller, even with the pop-up roof folded in. However, the roof tent can be retracted and extended electrically.
Both the X-Van, as a camper van, and the large sedan Super Van are based on Farizon’s SuperVAN platform, which was derived from the Geely Multi-Purpose Architecture (GMA). This platform for light commercial vehicles is designed to enable different wheelbases and superstructures, and markets such as Asia, Australia, South America and Europe were mentioned in addition to China when it was first announced.
Whether the X-Van will also be offered in this country is currently still open. However, the technical data is clear: an LFP battery from Gotion High-Tech should ensure a CLTC range of 460 kilometres, while the electric motor delivers 170 kW and offers a maximum torque of 336 Nm. However, as the WLTP range is generally lower than the CLTC in the Chinese standard test and the real-world range is even lower, the Chinese campervan is unlikely to offer long practical ranges for long holiday trips either.

However, the X-Van supports vehicle-to-load, so it can provide energy from the drive battery for other electrical consumers, for example, for cooking with an electric stove, operating a refrigerator or a hot water heater for the shower.
Farizon is offering a special promotion at the launch: anyone who pays 5,000 yuan this year will receive a “time-limited purchase advantage.” This includes a drone, a camping set, a charging station and a ‘Christmas gift package’ with a total value of around 25,000 yuan.
