Nissan announces UK prices for the Micra
This puts the base price of the new Micra in the UK exactly the same as its technology donor, the Renault 5 E-Tech Electric. In the UK, the Renault small car based on the AmpR Small platform also starts at £22,995. The 90 kW variant with the 40 kWh battery is available in the ‘Evolution’ configuration.
At Nissan, the surcharge logic for the equipment differs slightly, but not fundamentally. The 40-kWh model in the ‘Engage’ trim, as the basic trim is called, is also available for £22,995. This equipment is not available with the 52 kWh battery, which is only available at the middle ‘Advanced’ level, for £24,995 with the small battery and £26,995 with the large battery. The top ‘Evolve’ trim level is only available with the large battery from £29,865.
Regarding subsidies, Nissan assumes that the Micra built by Renault in France will qualify for the British Electric Car Grant of £1,500. This has not yet been finalised, however, as this has yet to be confirmed by the Office of Zero Emission Vehicles. The prices quoted are exclusive of this potential grant.

“Micra is the first of four new fully electric models to arrive on the Nissan line up and we are incredibly excited to be pricing it so competitively,” said James Taylor, Managing Director of Nissan GB. “Micra is a key strategic model for Nissan, and based on the positive reviews, exciting design, attractive price and a class-leading product, I am looking forward to seeing lots of new Micras on the road soon.”
