Wireless charging electric taxi trial goes live in Nottingham

The ‘Wireless Charging of Electric Taxis’ (WiCET) project funded by the British government started a few days ago. At a taxi rank in Nottingham, nine converted electric and hybrid taxis now charge via induction pads with 10 kW. The trial is the first of its kind in the UK and has taken some time.

Nissan UK has announced pricing of its new compact van Townstar. The fully electric offshoot prices will start from £29,945 (excluding VAT and PiVG) for a short-wheelbase Townstar equipped with a 45kWh battery, with a range of up to 183 miles WLTP combined or up to 269 miles in city cycle.

Inflation Reduction Act passes the US House of Representatives

The Inflation Reduction Act, which also includes the reform of the EV tax credit, has now passed the House of Representatives after the Senate and is expected to be signed by President Joe Biden in the coming days.
