Xiaomi reports increased revenue and deliveries over Q2 of 2025
This represents an increase of 13.81 per cent from 18.1 billion yuan (approx. 2 billion euros) in the first quarter and an increase of 232.26 per cent from 6.2 billion yuan (approx. 700 million euros) in the same period last year. This is significant since Xiaomi unveiled its first car model, the SU7, last year, but it is already one of the major players in the Chinese car market. The second model is on the way with the YU7 electric SUV, but wait times are long for the model.
In terms of products handed over to customers, Xiaomi delivered a total of 81,302 electric cars in the second quarter, marking a significant increase of 197.73 per cent compared to the same period last year, and 7.16 per cent compared to the first quarter of 2025.
Xiaomi’s vehicle deliveries grew impressively between the years as well, with a total of 81,302 SU7 and YU7 vehicles delivered to customers from the beginning of April to the end of June, representing a year-on-year increase of 197.73 per cent. Compared to the figures for the first quarter, this represents an increase of 71.6 per cent.
In addition to the new income and delivery records, Xiaomi’s more innovative business areas, including both artificial intelligence and electric car technologies, recorded an operating loss of 300 million yuan (approx. 35 million euros) in the second quarter, down from 500 million yuan (approx. 59 million euros) in the first quarter of this year.
In addition to the delivery and production data, Xiaomi had another announcement for the European market: Xiaomi’s president, William Lu, confirmed that the company is officially seeking to enter Europe as its first overseas market in 2027. The move has been in preparation for some time, for example, with Xiaomi announcing plans for an R&D centre in Munich in April, which also saw the Xiaomi president teasing an SU7 Ultra with a German license plate, said to be an “experimental vehicle.” The company president did not mention specific markets, however.
