Wirelane acquires Ladegrün

Munich-based Wirelane has acquired Ladegrün, adding its green-focused charging points to Wirelane’s network. The integration will roll out gradually, with all existing customer contracts retained, marking another consolidation in the German EV charging market.

According to Wirelane, the merger brings together “two strong players for consistently green and customer-focused electric mobility.” While the announcement refers to a merger, Wirleane is in fact acquiring Ladegrün. The purchase price has not been disclosed.

Wirelane is best known for its AC charge points and its operator platform called WirelaneOS, offering solutions primarily for municipalities, businesses, hotels and commercial sites – including full-service packages covering planning, installation and operation. Ladegrün was founded in 2020 by German green energy providers EWS Elektrizitätswerke Schönau, Green Planet Energy (formerly Greenpeace Energy) and Naturstrom, along with Inselwerke and GLS Bank. The company focused on environmentally friendly and resource-efficient charging infrastructure, operating, for example, the charging points at the German organic supermarket chain Alnatura.

Ladegrün customers will “benefit immediately from additional service expertise, digital billing and operations via WirelaneOS, as well as improved service and maintenance structures,” according to Wirelane. All customer contracts remain valid but will be transferred to Wirelane as part of the gradual integration. Although not explicitly confirmed, it appears likely that the Ladegrün brand name will be phased out.

“With Ladegrün at our side, we are strengthening our shared goal of making sustainable and customer-friendly e-mobility available to all groups in society,” said Wirelane CEO Constantin Schwaab. “The uncompromising focus on genuine green electricity and flexible business models complements our offering perfectly.”

“We are convinced that real sustainability begins in everyday life – where people shop, work and live,” added Ladegrün Managing Director Jan-Philip von Gottberg. “With Wirelane at our side, we can translate this conviction into even more concrete charging locations. Green mobility needs not only technology, but also attitude – and together we are bringing both onto the road.”
