Digital Charging Solutions (DCS) and Lexus Europe are launching a new charging service for Lexus drivers under the label “Lexus Charging Network”. The service is available in Norway, Switzerland, Portugal, Germany, France, Great Britain, Spain and Italy.

BMW adds charging products & bonus system for hybrids

BMW Charging and Mini Charging expand their range of charging products for the market launch of the fifth generation of the BMW electrification kit. Together with the iX3 as the first model of this fifth-generation, a new mobile charging station is being introduced, and there is now also a bonus point system for plug-in hybrids.

Tesla & Fastned open “Europe’s largest charging hub”

Fastned and Tesla have opened the ‘Ladepark Kreuz Hilden’ last night. Equipped with 20 superchargers and eight Fastned charging stations, it will be one of the largest charge parks for each of the two companies in its final stage. Our reporter Sebastian Schaal was at the opening.

PSA building chargers for European employees

The French automotive group PSA has announced that it will establish charging infrastructures for its employees at all European locations. By the end of 2021, almost 500 charging stations are to be installed at 49 Group sites in twelve countries.

Enel X launches charging network in Bucharest

Enel X has installed and commissioned a network of 34 charging points for electric cars in Bucharest and the surrounding area. Although these are mainly AC chargers with 22 kW there are also a number of DC chargers with up to 50 kW charging capacity in the network.

Austria boosts EV and charge point subsidies

The Austrian government is increasing purchase premiums and subsidies for charging infrastructure for zero-emission and plug-in hybrid vehicles from 1 July. This includes zero-emission and plug-in hybrid cars, zero-emission heavy and light commercial vehicles, zero-emission buses, and electric two-wheelers – including e-motorbikes, mopeds, e-bikes and e-cargo bikes.

McDonalds to connect chargers in UK locations

McDonald’s wants to set up hundreds of fast charging points for electric cars branches in Great Britain in cooperation with InstaVolt. The rapid chargers are designed for charging capacities of up to 125 kW. New Aldi branches in the UK are also to receive charging points – but at a much slower rate.
