Nissan & Enel team up for special tariff in Italy

Buyers of the Nissan Leaf in Italy benefit from a new package which Nissan, Enel Energia and Enel X have put together. Called E-ASY ELECTRIC, it includes 480 kWh of free charging at more than 12,000 Enel X charging stations via the JuicePass app.

Fastned marks 14% increase in charging in Q4/2020

Fast charging company Fastned increased its revenue from charging operations in the fourth quarter of 2020 by 14% year-on-year to €1.9 million. The number of charging transactions in the Fastned network rose to over 194,000 (+12%).

Audi tests grid-optimised charging with e-tron models

Together with the company GISA and other partners, Audi has tested grid-serving charging in the German city of Chemnitz. Specifically, the participants created an overload scenario in the local power grid and tested the use of a smartmeter gateway.

Audi offers 22-kW charger option with e-tron

Audi now offers a second onboard charger for the e-tron 55 and the e-tron Sportback 55, which allows doubling the AC charging power from 11 to up to 22 kW. This option will also be available for the e-tron 50 and e-tron S models in mid-2021. There is no retrofit solution.

Flanders targets 30,000 new charging points by 2025

The Belgian region of Flanders is reserving 30 million euros to build up to 30,000 additional charging points by 2025. This was announced by Flemish Mobility Minister Lydia Peeters. The aim is to provide a fast-charging facility with every 25 kilometres along the major transport axes.
