1,600 new electric car charge points for Berlin
A new scheme is to clean the air over the German capital by installing on-street charging infrastructure. With lamp post charging provider Ubitricity at the centre, the consortium is planning to add 1,600 public and private charge points to Berlin’s network beginning this year.
VW presents 360 kWh mobile charging station
Volkswagen has unveiled a new mobile charging station concept, that they believe will provide a sufficiently flexible solution for EV charging: The mobile charging station uses a 360 kWh battery pack and can charge up to four vehicles simultaneously.
ChargePoint & Greenlots announce roaming partnership
The two US American charging network operators have announced a roaming partnership that would enable inter-network charging, allowing customers free access to “thousands of additional charging locations throughout North America”. The cooperation will take effect in mid-2019.
DE: ChargePoint to supply Daimler dealers
Daimler has selected ChargePoint to install charging equipment at their retailers in Germany ahead of the carmaker’s electrification and EQC roll-out. The agreement comes after Daimler led ChargePoint’s $125 million funding round last year in support of the company’s expansion into Europe.

Spain: Endesa to erect 100,000 EV charging stations
Enel-owned utility Endesa announces their plan to cast a far reaching network of electric car charging stations across Spain. Their new dedicated venture Endesa X will install more than 8,500 public charge points with another 100,000 at private locations by 2023.
Enel X Romania plans nationwide charging network
Italian energy supplier Enel will use its subsidiary Enel X Romania to set up a nationwide charging network for electric cars in Romania. According to their plans, some 2,500 charging points with capacities of between 22 and 150 kW should be available by 2023.
Char.gy: New player on London lamp post charging scene
Street lights doubling as charging stations will be a sight across all of London. After Siemens and Ubitricty, Britain’s Char.gy has been named as another chosen supplier of the Go-ultra Low City Scheme. The plan is to install 1,150 lamp post chargers by 2020.
E.ON promises 10,000 charging stations by 2020
The energy provider has solidified plans for a pan-European charging network: By the year 2020 E.ON plans to install 10,000 charging stations all over Europes’ public places, including super markets, train stations and highway stops.
