Leapmotor confirms UK pricing for B10 eSUV
The B10 first went on sale in Europe in late July with a list price of €29,900 euros – and Leapmotor is extending this sub-30k pricing to the UK with a starting price of £29,995. That makes it almost €5000 more expensive in the UK than mainland Europe, with currency conversion working out at roughly €34,572.
Nevertheless, it’s still true to Leapmotor’s promise of delivering “one of the most competitive electric SUVs” in the C-segment. Like other Leapmotor EVs, it’s available in a single specification, reducing variation in pricing. The sub-£30k mark has been achieved partly thanks to Leapmotor’s own £1,500 grant scheme, which will be available to all UK retail customers purchasing the eSUV.
The Stellantis-owned brand has also confirmed that the B10 will be available to order later this month (October) from its 53-strong dealership network, with the first UK deliveries scheduled for early December.
electrive has previously covered the B10’s full list of specs; it’s Leapmotor’s first model in the high-volume compact class, and is based on the LEAP 3.5 platform. It’s similar in dimensions to BYD’s Atto 3, but significantly undercuts it in price, with the Atto 3 starting at £37,705 in the UK.
Damien Dally, Leapmotor UK Managing Director, said: “Our mission from the outset was to be the best value for money EV brand in the UK by delivering the highest level of specification and the highest level of technology, all as standard. And now we’re bringing that offering to the hugely popular family SUV market. The Leapmotor B10 is another pillar of that bold promise. The car is extremely competitively priced and is jam-packed with high levels of technology on one simple, well-specified trim, making it easier than ever for drivers to make the switch to electric.”
