Wallbox and Hera to deploy 58 fast chargers across Northern Italy
Wallbox has announced a partnership with Hera Comm, an energy supply company belonging to Hera Group. It will install 58 Supernova 120 fast chargers across the Emilia-Romagna region and other areas of central and northern Italy by late 2025. The initiative will enhance public charging infrastructure in urban and interurban areas such as Forlì-Cesena, Ravenna and Rimini.
Each location will feature Wallbox’s Supernova 120, the company’s flagship DC fast-charging system capable of delivering up to 120 kW. Designed for public and semi-public settings, the Supernova platform offers high efficiency, modularity and scalability, supporting both daily commuting and long-distance electric travel.
The project is supported by Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), financed by the European Commission through the ‘Next Generation EU’ programme, and is part of Italy’s broader national strategy to accelerate the shift towards sustainable transport and strengthen its charging network.
Hera Comm, Italy’s third-largest energy supplier, will lead the rollout. The company will oversee installation, commissioning and ongoing operation of the charging sites.
