Allgreen Properties to open Singapore’s largest public charging hub
The company is building the new charging hub at Great World, a mixed-use property spanning 1.06 million sq. ft. and comprising a six-storey mall, an 18-storey office tower, and a 35-storey serviced apartment building. It is progressively rolling out the public chargers at Basement 3 and Basement 3A of the property’s car park.
The new charging hub will cater to both mainstream and high-end EVs and will be one of Singapore’s first sites to feature Huawei’s 480 kW DC ultra-fast chargers. It will include 23 units of 22 kW AC charging points, twelve units of 180 kW DC fast-charging points, and 20 units of 480 kW charging points.
The 180 kW DC fast chargers will add 200 kilometres of range in 20 to 30 minutes, while the 480 kW DC ultra-fast chargers will do the same in as little as five minutes. The latter will particularly benefit high-end models like the smart #5, Xpeng G6, Xpeng X9 and Zeekr 7X, which support charging at up to 400 kW, 451 kW, 317 kW and 480 kW, respectively.
Great Charge, a subsidiary of Allgreen Properties, will manage the upcoming charging hub at Great World. As part of the inaugural offers, Great Charge will allow customers to charge at introductory rates of 0.545 Singaporean dollars (0.36 euros) per kWh through AC chargers and 0.600 Singaporean dollars (0.40 euros) per kWh through DC chargers during the introductory period. It will accept payments through credit cards, NFC-enabled devices and the Great Rewards iOS and Android apps.
In December last year, Allgreen Properties set up 20 units of 180 kW DC fast-charging points at the Pasir Ris Mall. The new site at Great World is the company’s second major initiative for its Great Charge subsidiary within a year. “With the launch of our EV charging hubs at Great World and Pasir Ris Mall, we aim to enhance convenience and accessibility for our shoppers and the surrounding communities, making EV-charging an integral and effortless part of the everyday lives of Singaporeans,” said Allgreen Group MD Tho Leong Chye.
