This contract includes up to 1,800 vehicles across all weight classes – from 7.5 to 42 tonnes – and spans 18 European countries, as announced by MAN. In addition to internal combustion engine vehicles, battery-electric trucks are also part of the agreement, though the exact number has not yet been specified.

Depending on the number of vehicles and models TIP orders under the framework agreement, MAN states that the deal could be worth up to €160 million euros. While the manufacturer’s diesel portfolio covers vehicles from 7.5 to 255 tonnes for specialist applications, its electric trucks focus on the key segment of 12 to 42 tonnes. Thanks to MAN’s modular battery concept, ranges of 310 kilometres for the lightweight eTGL and up to 830 kilometres for the heavy-duty eTGX and eTGS models are achievable.

The TIP Group already has experience with electric MAN models. Since 2024, TIP has prioritised zero-emission solutions and became the first rental company to integrate a significant number of MAN eTGX long-haul vehicles into its fleet. Headquartered in Amsterdam, the company operates an extensive fleet of trailers, trucks, refrigerated semi-trailers, chassis, and specialist equipment. With a network of 135 service locations in 17 countries and a fleet of over 90,000 vehicles, the TIP Group serves customers across Europe.

“With the new framework agreement, MAN Truck & Bus and TIP Group are sending a strong signal for the future of freight transport. We are pleased to accompany TIP as an important partner on the path to sustainable logistics – with efficient diesel trucks and innovative battery-electric vehicles,” says Friedrich Baumann, Executive Board Member for Sales & Customer Solutions at MAN Truck & Bus. “This agreement underscores the trust in our products and services and shows how we are jointly driving the transformation of the industry forward.”

“Supporting customers through the transition means offering the right solutions at the right time,” says Arjen Kraaij, CEO of the TIP Group. “By working closely with partners like MAN, we can expand our fleet with both highly efficient diesel trucks and electric trucks, giving operators practical choices that balance performance, cost efficiency and sustainability.”
