Vietnam: VinFast launches family-focused VF MPV 7 three-row EV
The VF MPV 7 measures 4.74 m in length, 1.87 m in width and 1.73 m in height, with a 2.84 m wheelbase. The company has launched it in a single variant, featuring a front-mounted electric motor producing 150 kW and 280 Nm of torque, paired with a 60.13 kWh LFP battery pack. The battery can be charged from 10 to 70 per cent in 30 minutes and delivers an NEDC-rated range of 450 kilometres on a full charge.
The new electric MPV retains the space-focused proportions and contemporary design of the Limo Green, while adding several styling enhancements. VinFast has added LED light bands forming a ‘V’ signature between the DRLs, a chrome moulding along the beltline, and replaced the 18-inch wheels with newly designed 19-inch units.
Inside, the VF MPV 7 largely carries over the simple, minimalist interior layout of the Limo Green. VinFast has revised the centre console to free up additional storage space, relocating the electronic gear selector from the console to behind the steering wheel. The company has fitted artificial leather upholstery to give the cabin a more upmarket feel and added a PM2.5 air filtration system.
VinFast equips the VF MPV 7 with automatic climate control, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, remote vehicle tracking, rear parking sensors and a reverse camera. However, it does not offer an instrument cluster or a head-up display, meaning the driver must rely solely on the central screen for key driving information.
The company has priced the VF MPV 7 at 819 million Vietnamese dong (approximately 26,700 euros) and expects to begin deliveries in February. VinFast has also confirmed plans to introduce the Limo Green in India in February, followed by Indonesia in March, and is likely to launch the VF MPV 7 alongside the commercial model in these overseas markets.
