Abarth reshapes 600e line-up with Turismo and Competizione

Abarth has overhauled its electric 600e range, introducing the Turismo and Competizione trim levels. The new variants replace the former Abarth 600e and the limited-edition Scorpionissima.

Alongside the Abarth 500e derived from the Fiat 500, the Italian brand has also offered a sporty version of the otherwise restrained family crossover Fiat 600 since 2024. For the 2026 model year, the Abarth 600e gains a new range-topping variant designed to be particularly dynamic, carrying the Competizione badge.

Positioned at the top of the range, the Abarth 600e Competizione starts at £37,995 and is fitted with a 207 kW electric motor. Abarth states that the model was developed ‘in collaboration with Stellantis Motorsport’ and is aimed at drivers demanding ‘the purest expression of Abarth’s racing spirit.’ The Competizione accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 5.85 seconds and reaches a top speed of 124 mph.

The drivetrain is largely familiar, as a modified version has powered electric performance models from other group brands for some time. These include the Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce, the Peugeot e-208 GTi and the Opel Mokka GSE.

For the Competizione, Abarth highlights a range of performance-focused hardware derived from motorsport. This includes a Torsen limited-slip differential, upgraded braking systems with monoblock calipers, and components developed specifically for high dynamic loads. The model features Alcon front vented discs and calipers, while Sabelt sports seats and Michelin tyres based on Formula E technology are intended to enhance grip, braking stability and driver feedback.

Visually, the Competizione introduces a new two-tone livery combining an orange body with a black roof, complemented by exclusive side graphics and an Alcantara-trimmed interior. Abarth says the model is built on the Perfo eCMP platform, a battery-electric architecture derived from motorsport expertise, and is available in a range of exterior colours.

With the Competizione, this top-spec powertrain now returns. Thanks to 207 kW and 345 Newton metres of torque, the 1.6-tonne mini SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and reaches an electronically limited top speed of 200 km/h. The base model, known as Turismo, remains in the line-up with 175 kW but takes three tenths of a second longer to reach the benchmark sprint speed.

The Abarth 600e Turismo becomes the new entry point to the range, priced from £33,995. That means the entry price has not changed, as the brand announced price cuts for the 600e at the beginning of January. The model targets customers seeking everyday sportiness combined with what the manufacturer describes as ‘effortless athletic style.’ According to Abarth, the Turismo is designed to balance accessible performance with the brand’s established visual and dynamic character.

The manufacturer describes the two trims as complementary interpretations of its heritage. “Together, the new 600e models represent the next milestone in Abarth’s evolution, honouring Carlo Abarth’s heritage while projecting the electric future of the Scorpion brand,” the company said in its announcement.
