Swedish company Clean Motion has introduced an extended version of its EVIG Memorial electric vehicle for funeral transport. The new model is designed to carry coffins and expands the company’s zero-emission offering for funeral service providers.

The new variant is based on Clean Motion’s existing electric vehicle platform but features an extended body measuring 3.95 metres in length, an increase of 0.7 metres compared to the standard version. According to the company, the larger dimensions allow the vehicle to accommodate funeral coffins while maintaining the design and zero-emission drivetrain of the original model.

Clean Motion says the EVIG Memorial Extended was developed to meet growing demand from funeral service providers for sustainable transport solutions. The company highlights the vehicle’s quiet electric drivetrain as particularly suited to funeral processions. A development partner for the project is Bestattung Wien, one of Europe’s largest funeral service organisations. The two companies are presenting the vehicle together at the BEFA FORUM trade fair in Düsseldorf from 4 to 6 June 2026.

“The introduction of the extended-length EVIG Memorial represents a meaningful step forward to provide sustainable and respectful transportation solutions for funeral services,” said Stefan Janols, VP Sales and Marketing at Clean Motion AB. “We understand the importance of honouring traditions while reducing environmental impact, and this vehicle perfectly balances these priorities.”

The EVIG Memorial Extended is available for pre-orders immediately, with Clean Motion also offering customisation options for funeral service providers.
