Through the partnership, Cariqa’s payment infrastructure has been integrated into HERE’s app (HERE WeGo). Electric vehicle drivers can use the app to locate charging stations and view operator-specific pricing from charging providers connected to Cariqa’s network. At the charging station, users are redirected to Cariqa’s web interface to complete the payment process.

According to HERE, the service will initially be available only in selected European launch markets. Furthermore, the charging station and operator must be listed on both HERE WeGo and Cariqa for the payment function to be available.

A key advantage of this partnership is that integrating both services ‘without needing a separate provider app, service card or account.’ The collaboration thus bridges a long-standing gap between navigation and payment in EV charging, enabling a seamless experience from route planning to payment.

Issam Tidjani, CEO and Co-Founder of Cariqa, highlights another benefit: “For Cariqa CPOs, this partnership opens up a new, high-intent channel to reach drivers at the exact moment they’re deciding where to charge. By bringing Cariqa into HERE WeGo, operators can surface their infrastructure and pricing directly within the navigation experience, without losing control over their commercial strategy.”

This approach provides a simple way to align supply with actual demand while keeping pricing transparent and consistent. For drivers, ‘the integration transforms HERE WeGo from a discovery tool into a complete charging interface.’ This is illustrated in the graphic below:

The partners view the collaboration as an important step towards closer integration between charging infrastructure and digital mobility platforms. According to the companies, the aim is to simplify the charging experience by combining navigation, pricing information and payment within a single user journey.

“By connecting navigation, pricing and payment into a unified flow, Cariqa and HERE are helping to build a more integrated and user-centric charging ecosystem. As EV adoption continues to grow, reducing friction at key moments in the charging journey will be critical to improving driver confidence and accelerating uptake,” the companies said in a joint statement.
