VW reveals plans for another EV priced below the ID.2
According to a German media report, the all-electric VW ID.2 will start at less than €25,000 when it launches in 2025. And the carmaker allegedly has plans for an even cheaper EV, currently referred to as the ID.1, which could launch in 2027 and start at less than €20,000.

Polestar 3 launches in China at reduced prices
In China, Polestar has launched its first electric SUV, the Polestar 3, at significantly lower prices than initially announced. The Polestar 3 will start in China from 698,000 yuan (about $101,159). That is 182,000 yuan ($26,380) less than what was announced at the world premiere.

US wants to cut the cost of clean hydrogen

VinFast pushes back US factory to 2025
Vietnamese EV manufacturer VinFast will be opening its first US plant later than it had hoped. About a year ago, the carmaker publicised plans for the facility in Chatham County, North Carolina, saying that operations would begin by July 2024. But the opening date has now been pushed back to 2025.
