According to the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA), new registrations of electric vehicles in the EU rose by 23.9 per cent in the first quarter of 2025 compared to the same period last year, reaching 412,997 units. That brings the market share of battery-electric vehicles to 15.2 per cent of all new passenger cars registered across the EU.
