FR: Izivia shuts down most of its fast-charging stations

French network operator Izivia has shut down 189 of 217 fast-charging terminals due to security concerns. The EDF subsidiary has decided to close these stations in the Corri-Door charging network following two “hardware incidents” within a few months.

Enel X secures funding through AMBRA-E

Enel X has secured funding for the AMBRA-Electrify Europe project (AMBRA-E for short) that it coordinates. This project involves investments of 70.75 million euros and includes the construction of more than 3,000 charging stations in Italy, Spain and Romania by 2022.

Endesa signs charging agreement with Gasexpress

The Spanish energy supplier Endesa has concluded an agreement with the Gasexpress fuel station chain to install charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. The plan is to set up 78 charging points at 39 locations – one DC charger with 50 kW and one AC charger with 22 kW each.

Porsche opens 7MW charging park in Leipzig

Porsche is expanding high power charging infrastructure in central Germany with the opening of a new charging park called Porsche Turbo Charging in Leipzig. The park has a total capacity of seven megawatts drawn entirely from renewable energy.

EVBox opens lab in Amsterdam to test charging tech

In Amsterdam, EVBox has opened what they are calling the Lab Space. Thanks to the new site, the company says it can test all of its future charging stations on actual vehicles. The facility should thus also be home to research and development of new charging technologies.

Audi to install 4,500 charge points at its plants
