BMW issues recall for the iX and i4 in the USA

BMW has issued a recall for a small number of its iX and i4 EVs in the US due to a possible fire hazard. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 56 iX and 27 i4 were “manufactured with a high-voltage battery that may not have been produced to specifications by the supplier”.

ONE and BMW announce iX planned with almost 1,000 km range

US battery start-up Our Next Energy (ONE) has signed an agreement with BMW to integrate its Gemini battery technology into a BMW iX. The vehicle prototype is to be completed by the end of this year – and will then be able to drive 600 miles or 965 kilometres on one charge.
