Einride & Oatly to expand cooperation to N.America

Swedish automated electric vehicle tech specialist Einride and the food company Oatly are to expand their partnership to electrify Oatly’s North American fleet. Einride has already been managing and operating electric trucks for Oatly in Sweden since 2020.

MAN says production preparations on schedule for electric truck

Traton subsidiary MAN is on schedule with preparations for large-scale production of electric trucks at its Munich plant. In the first twelve months since the eMobility Centre was established at its main plant, MAN Truck & Bus has launched 20 prototypes of the upcoming heavy-duty electric truck.

CharIN shows MW charging system commercial EVs

The CCS initiative CharIN has demonstrated the Megawatt Charging System (MCS) for the first time at the Electric Vehicle Symposium (EVS35) in Oslo. This is to become a future charging standard for heavy commercial vehicles. The prototype design of the plug was also revealed that should enable charging capacities of up to 3.75 MW.

Hyzon is taking over Orten from Germany

The US manufacturer of fuel cell commercial vehicles Hyzon Motors is acquiring the German company Orten, including conversion specialist Orten Electric Trucks. The purchase brings three production facilities and a team of over 80 employees under the Hyzon umbrella.

Walmart trials Freightliner eCascadia and Nikola Tre trucks

US retail giant Walmart this week said it was expanding zero-emission logistics pilots adding Nikola and Daimler Truck’s Freightliner as manufacturers. The heavy-duty electric trucks are part of Walmart’s ongoing efforts to completely decarbonise its global operations by 2040.

Ree Automotive announces robotic assembly lines for Coventry plant

The Israeli company Ree Automotive plans to implement cloud-based robot assembly lines at its integration centre in Coventry, UK. Air Products plans H2 stations in Rotterdam

In the Netherlands, the industrial gas company Air Products is aiming to build a truck hydrogen filling station in the port of Rotterdam in 2023. The facility will be realised in cooperation with Schenk Tanktransport and the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO).
