Hyundai announces EV offensive in the USA

Hyundai Motor America plans to expand its range of electric and hybrid models from the current five to 13 by 2022. According to the Korean manufacturer’s American offshoot, the range will consist of six sedans and seven SUVs.

Norway marks 3,742 new BEVs sold in October

Exactly 3,742 electric cars were newly registered in Norway in October. The market share of electric cars among car registrations was 35.7 per cent. The most successful model of all drive types was the Audi e-tron quattro.

BMW orders hybrid drives from Magna

Toyota gives the CH-R two hybrid options

After the new Corolla, the C-HR is the second Toyota model to offer customers a choice of two hybrid options. The crossover SUV will also be available with a 132 kW 2.0 litre hybrid system. The hybrid drive with 1.8-litre petrol engine and 90 kW system output will keep being offered in the range.

Kia considers launching a fully-electric Ceed

Norway’s electric cars figures continue to grow

Exactly 4,713 electric cars were newly registered in Norway in August. This is an increase of 13.4 per cent in comparison to the same month last year. Besides, there were 2,761 new cars with hybrid drive. These included 1,206 plug-in hybrids.

Bucharest ordered 130 hybrid buses

The Romanian capital Bucharest has ordered 130 hybrid buses from Mercedes-Benz. Deliveries of the Citaro Hybrid are scheduled to take place between May 2020 and January 2021. Bucharest also plans to procure 100 battery-electric buses, 100 trolleybuses and 100 trams.
